Jaime started primary classes yesterday. he spent the entire day in the new class. He came home happy, almost like a different kid from the one around in the last 2 weeks or so. The Toddler class was no longer holding his interest and he was eager to move “upstairs” where the older kids study. We went to the Primary Curriculum night this week and the teacher, Mrs. Vargas, seems like a non-nonsense type of person, very real. I think she will be a good teacher for Jaime.

My little girl is growing very fast. She now can sit and has started drinking the bottle by herself. She makes tons of babababa sounds, raspberries and she loves to clap. What she loves most is being close to Jaime. Here she is with the lovely Mr. Green, Jaime’s frog.

We had so much fun with Nana and Papa … Over a week has passed since they left and we still look for them when we get home, specially Jaime who comes into the computer room and calls out their names.
Life has returned to the usual routine and Summer is quickly approaching. Perhaps soon we will see them again. Here is Dada reading a book to Jaime, like to peas in a pod.

After a swift labor and an even quicker delivery (3 minutes pushing), our daughter arrived without complications. All fingers and toes are accounted for. The number of limbs is correct. Two eyes, one nose, one tongue and a heck of a good girl is what we got. We are lucky already.
I like to talk about a soul’s age on little ones like her. She has an old, wise soul that must know English because she seems to understand what I tell her. She seems so comfortable being that I have to say she has been around here before, many times. She is better at the breastfeeding thing than I am, knows the drill on diaper changes and was completely calm and relaxed during her first bath, as if she was in a spa getting a deluxe treatment.
My heart must have doubled in size since she arrived because my love for her is infinite, just like the I love I feel for my awesome, amazing Jaime.
Stats:
Arrival date: 2/16 Time: 12:36 am Weight: 8 lbs 13 oz. Height: 21 inches.
Here is a pic.

Jaime has so much energy these days. He wakes up in the morning and hops around like a bunny. His vocabulary has increased significantly and he is able to pronounce most medium sized words after hearing them once or twice only. He is lovely and so easy to play with. Of course he has his moments, specially after he wakes up from his nap where the big grouch in him latches on to Dada, wanting nothing to do with the rest of the world.
Jaime loves to be tickled as you can see in the picture above. Tickles are always welcome.
Note: Jaime is able to recognize where he is when driving. Today we drove by the Penfield Libary at night (a dark one, too) and he mentioned the fish he sees in there in the aquarium. A block away from home he started crying because he did not want us to turn into Atlantic Avenue but wanted us to continue on 5 Mile Lane Rd, he wanted to go to school. He knows we are going to see my parents when we are blocks away. He recognizes we are going to Barnes and Nobles to play with the Choochoos as soon as we turn into the Webster Plaza, many stores away from B&L. He is just like me, I have a great sense of direction, guide myself thru landmarks and never get lost, ever :).
